Tuesday 21.2 at 14-17 the student unions in Turku TYY, ÅAS, TUO and Novium organize the traditional FASTLASKIAINEN Shrove Tuesday event at the Vartiovuori hill. This is an event where you can have fun riding a sledge down the slope, take part in the competition “Sledge of the year” or just chill with your friends while watching others ride sledges down the slope.
After the competition it is time for the After Sledge-party at Kåren. Bands playing live music will ensure that the party feeling continues.
The TYY Choir will be having its 9th annual Quartet Concert along with Brahe Djäknar and Florakören at the Old Academy Building on Saturday, 18 February at 18.00. Come check out some wild entertainment that will blow you away!
On the programme will be a wide range of song, sweet ballads form long ago, tough male choral music, the latest hits with choral arrangements, the most cliché girl and boy bands from the golden 90s and much, much more!
Line-ups put together especially for this concert as well as groups such as Kosteat kosijat, Lök and Full Metal Quartet will be performing for your listening pleasure at the Old Academy Building.
Tickets are available in advance at student cafeterias: Tue, 14 Feb 11.30-13.30 (Arken), Wed, 15 Feb 11.30-13.30 (Assarin ullakko) and Thu, 16 Feb 11.30-13.30 (Gadolinia). Only €5 for students!

Collegium Musicum Turku (formerly Kampus sinfonietta) plays dance music from past decades. Come and hear the best of swing and feel the Finnish classics. It's time to dust off your dancing shoes and head to the floor – or you can just come and enjoy the music! Don't worry if you are no Fred Astaire, this music will take you away!

Dear student friends, this year we celebrate tenth time for good cause! Ystävät yhdessä (Friends together) party is organized by all student organizations of TUAS. This party is charity party and all income from event go to charity. This year give your friends different Valentine's day gift!
Location for this party is Klubi (Humalistonkatu 8). Tickets cost from door 5 € and beforehand bought from your own student organization 4 €. When you buy your tickets beforehand you don't need to queue and you make sure that you get overall patch if you come before midnight. Ticketing starts 1.2.2012 in student organizations offices. Responsible for the music is Finnish band called Tilhet, pajut ja muut.
